Luke 2:29 ......I must be about my Fathers business. This is what Jesus said as a young boy one day when his parents were looking for him. This is my mission, to be about my Fathers business. Reaching out to the lost, the homeless, the needy. I believe this is a mandate from God to all those who call themselves children of God.
I have recently learned of a need in my community and throughout the U.S. This need is that unique population of foster care children who are turning 18 and have to go live on their own. Too many of these young adults are no where near ready to live independently and be responsible adults. I have recently started a Non Profit Christian organization, HSE MINISTRIES. I am going to purchase a home and open it to females which have just turned 18 but are not ready to live on their own. This home will provide a life skills training program which will teach them and give the a loving environment to grow and learn in. I feel it is very important to structure this home around a solid Christian Foundation, I have faith that the desire of each individual girl and the Christian environment they are living in will be the two most important keys to their sucess.
If anyone has any information on grants for non profit christian organizations or funding sources, I would appreciate any information you might have.
